According to national data, a significant percentage of rural households face food scarcity at least once a week, and elders are the most affected.

This Giving Tuesday, AGAPE HAND is raising its voice for them through the Solidarity Baskets Program, a community-driven effort that provides nutritious food baskets to families and elders living in extreme poverty and isolation. These baskets include essentials such as oats, rice, oil, legumes, pasta, and other staples that ensure a family can eat with dignity for several days.

We do not portray vulnerability to provoke pity. Our mission is based on dignity, respect, and solidarity—values that remind us that every human being deserves access to food, care, and presence. When our team visits communities like Doña Rosa’s, we bring more than food: we bring connection, conversation, and a reminder that no one is forgotten.

The activity benefited 60 parents and 180 children, places highly vulnerable due to poverty.

The children and adolescents from 2 to 16 years of age were the most cheerful and happy who were satisfied.In this way, it was possible to bring a message of peace and hope to the families of these localities, in addition to being infected with the joy and enthusiasm of the children and adolescents.

The attending families took a chocolate with paneton for Christmas.
