End Poverty – A mission for Agape Hand

Poverty is not only a world problem, but it is the root too many other problems that create so many hurdles for a common man to lead a life with substantial standards. The pandemic had already hit the most vulnerable section of the population not only in Peru but all over the world, only to be made worst by the recent crisis. According to the data provided by the world bank; the poverty in 2019 had gradually been reduced to 20.2% by the efforts of many hardworking personnel, due to the pandemic in 2020 it spiked nearly to the previous level of 2010 nearly at 30.1%.

We at Agape Hand are trying our best to work towards the almost impossible mission of “Ending Poverty”. We do understand that there are always factors that creates hurdles in our mission but our aim is to incapacitate these hindrances. Merely funding a poor family is not enough to reduce the poverty anywhere in the world. Our aims and objectives are focused on equipping families and their bread earners with required resources to establish life and improve the life of others around them.

One of the main causes of poverty is inequality, it is through equity we can truly achieve our goal. The systemic barriers that lead to groups of people going without representation in their communities leaves them further behind in terms of resources and opportunity. In order for a community, or even a country, to alleviate poverty, all groups and identities must be involved in creating solutions.

It is through true and transparent justice that we can eradicate poverty from its source, it is the difference in the social status of a wealthy man and an alms-person that fuels the unholy fire of poverty. Most of the successful countries in the World have reached to that point by establishing the rule of law similar for all their people no matter what is their religion, ethnicity or their balance sheet status.

Education has been proven as one of the most powerful tool in the world not only for eradication of poverty, but for many other common problems. Social Media has played an equivalent role to educate not only about the theories but also provide people with the skills that can help them elevate their standard of living.

As much as we like to avoid the reality, but it is true that without proper financing and skilful individuals no campaign can completely achieve its objectives. We all carry the obligation of doing our part for the betterment of the unfortunate, we never know what a person might consider as a little help towards the goal can be moment that change the course of the events.

Quality education for 12455 children in the Sierra and Selva of Peru.

In developing countries, there should be collaborative efforts by citizens and government to support quality education for children who are poor and have no source of income to spend on education.
Since Selva and Sierra are rural areas, more awareness and development of education plans need to execute in order to create employment opportunities so that every child in a household can be taught and send to schools.
Practical skills should be included in the curriculum along with introduction of digitalization subjects to get connected to whole world. Government should invest in infrastructure to create good education system. So these rural regions can only see development by raising awareness among local communities and urge to have literacy in every home to eliminate poverty and hunger..

Help pregnant patients during the covid-19 pandemic

Pregnancy can be challenging during Covid times as there is a great risk for the life of baby. Pregnant women should take extra care of health and hygiene in the pandemic. Various measures like maintaining physical distancing, avoiding crowded places, hand washing, wearing proper mask and communicating with the doctor if anything is unusual should be taken care.
Many practitioners give online or phone counseling to avoid direct contact. So telemedicine can limit the patient visit while still monitoring pregnant patients. However, if the symptoms of cough, fever or respiratory symptoms persist, then covid test should be conducted by doctors.
The need of hour is to make immune system strong and stay positive. All these factors influence the health of baby. Hospitals should also limit the number of visitors in hospitals and if any pregnant women get covid, she should be admitted to hospital and proper care and monitoring should be done.
